Bob and Alicia Story met at the horse shows and were married in 1980.
Together they have built an outstanding reputation that has stood the test of time. They opened Storybook Farm in 1985 and have taught thousands of lessons and run countless summer camps. They have trained riders to numerous year end awards both locally and on a national level.

Alicia is a Graduate “A” of the United States Pony Club. This level requires a thorough knowledge of stable and pasture management, complete veterinary knowledge as well the successful teaching and training of the horse and rider. Less than 1% of the more than 12,000 United States Pony Club members achieve this rating. Alicia's equestrian teaching skills are the result of a solid education and 36 years of experience in passing along her knowledge to all levels and ages of riders. Alicia's experience makes her able to see and adapt to each individual’s needs, thus making their experience enjoyable as well as educational. Alicia is the head coach of the successful Storybook Jr. Cougars IEA Team. Her Middle School team won the IEA 2012 National Championship title and her High School team was the 2013 IEA National Champions. At the 2014 National Finals her high school team placed 3rd. As Assistant Coach for the College of Charleston Women's Equestrian Team Alicia has been instrumental in their continued success.

Bob is the Head Coach for the nationally ranked College of Charleston Women's Equestrian Team. During the 1970s Bob rode and worked with Gordon Wright and George Morris. These two gentlemen are the architects of the modern hunter seat style of equitation. The “Morris” system provides riders with sound basics and a firm foundation to build their skills as they continue to enjoy this lifetime sport.
Bob has been affiliated with the College of Charleston since 1980, teaching lessons to the College of Charleston Equestrian Club.  Dr. Lightsey, in 1991, promoted the club to Varsity status hiring him as the Head Coach. During his 36 year affiliation with the College of Charleston he has worked with all levels of student riders. Bob has produced Intercollegiate National Champions from Walk-Trot (beginners) all the way to the Open level (advanced). Bob's team has finished Reserve Champion three times at the IHSA National Finals and he had the Cacchione Cup Champion for 2015 and the Cacchione Cup Reserve Champion for 2016!

Grant is the son of Bob and Alicia. The busy day to day life of a working horse farm was a good fit for Grant. He was driving the tractor at 6 years old and repairing broken water lines at 10. He has been a very integral part of the farm operation from early on. Grant graduated from Porter-Gaud School. He was captain of his travel ice hockey team. Then it was on to Tiger Town! He became president of the Clemson Ice Hockey Club where he continued honing his leadership and organizational skills. Grant graduated Cum Laude from Clemson with a degree in Construction Science and Management. Grant married College of Charleston Equestrian Team Alumni Hannah Mayer who was the 2009 IHSA National Cacchione Cup Reserve Champion. Needless to say Bob and Alicia are thrilled with the union!
